Peterson Companies performed the earthwork, utilities, and athletic equipment contracts for the Waconia High School Addition and Athletic Facility construction project. This job consisted of a 112,000 SF building addition, a new learning center, over 800 stalls of parking lot, and a new athletic facility. Special coordination with the city, county and other contractors was required throughout the project to accommodate for the simultaneous construction of a new highway through the middle of the site! Our team battled record rainfalls combined with poor soil types onsite over the course of the project, but we were still able to finish the project in spring of 2018. Upon project completion, the school district continued on with additional construction onsite adding a running track, grandstands and a bus garage on the north side of the property. The main items tackled by Peterson Companies include:
The finished product is a functional and impressive state-of-the-art facility. It’s worth checking out if you’re in the area!
