The main entrance to the Como Park Zoo & Conservatory in St. Paul was in need of a major renovation. The front visitor center area was re-designed with elaborate plantings, a custom built sculpture, and an updated drop-off/pick-up space that was desperately needed. The plants used on site are all Minnesota native cultivars that were selected to match the original plans of the historical conservatory. The work completed by Peterson Companies included:

  • Installation of irrigation system
  • Installation of over 5,000 native plants
  • Installation of all edging, mulch, and soils on site
  • Prep and installation of sod covering 1,785 SY
