As an integral part of the Northwest Greenway Development, this boardwalk connects Wayzata Senior High School to the larger trail system in Plymouth, Minnesota. The boardwalk runs 10 feet above ground and stretches 840 linear feet across marshland. At 12 feet wide, and rated up to a 10 ton load capacity, this heavy-duty timber structure can fully support pedestrian traffic as well as emergency vehicles. Additional features included in this boardwalk installation project are a platform lookout, an overhead pergola structure, and IPE benches. If you're in the area, take some time to check out this unique boardwalk trail system.
